A History of the Councils of Christians and Jews in Australia

Former CCJVIC Chair Philip Bliss traces the development of Councils of Christians and Jews in Australia from the interfaith movement in England prior to World War II, through the Holocaust (HaShoah) and into the post-War II period.  Although some Christian and Jewish leaders were unwilling to expose their congregations to ‘the other’, leaders, congregations and shul members who did engage in dialogue often experienced major shifts in attitude, and new and lasting friendships were born.
