Following the upcoming NSWCCJ Shoah Commemoration at St Mary’s Cathedral on Wednesday 17th April 2013, you are invited to attend a symphonic homage and prayer video presentation titled the Suffering of the Innocents by composer Kiko Argüello at the Sydney Jewish Museum on Sunday 5th May 2013 from 1pm.
When The Suffering of the Innocents premiered in New York at the Avery Fisher Hall on May 8 2012, Rabbi David Rosen (AJC International Director of Interreligious Relations and Chief Rabbinate of Israel Honorary Advisor on Interfaith Relations) whilst presiding over the event and leading a memorial prayer for the victims of the Shoah, described the event as a Catholic homage to the suffering of the Jewish people….
