It’s very easy not to engage in interfaith encounter, dialogue and action at the moment. It is difficult to hold one another’s pain and the pain of the world. It is sometimes easier to retreat into our own corners and hide behind narratives that limit our openness to others. Last Sunday, over sixty people from many faith traditions gathered to experience a little-known Sephardi Rosh Hashanah Seder. It was a prayer for and an “affirmation of hope for a better new year”. Rabbi Yonatan Sadoff and Kehilat Nitzan hosted the event in partnership with the Council of Christians and Jews (Victoria) and the Jewish Community Council of Victoria.
