The ICCJ is the umbrella organization of 34 national Jewish-Christian dialogue organizations world-wide. The Australian Council of Christians and Jews (ACCJ) is an ICCJ member body and has very strong representation in the ICCJ. ACCJ’s former chair, Rev Dr Michael Trainor, is a world vice-president of ICCJ and has participated in the ICCJ’s activities for many years.

Liliane Apotheker, who also represents Amitié Judéo Chrétienne de France, has been involved in dialogue for many years. She is an excellent and articulate speaker with a strong concern about the increasing violence in the world and in social media, the growing threat of antisemitism and the threat to Christians in the Middle East.

“Dialogue is a spiritual imperative that makes mutual recognition possible; together we engage in a dialogue that respects our differences and our integrity,” she has said.

Over the past seven decades the ICCJ and its member organizations world-wide have been successfully engaged in the historic renewal of Jewish-Christian relations and more recently members have increasingly engaged in Abrahamic dialogue: the encounter between Jews, Christians and Muslims.
